How do I join the training online?

Our live online training courses take place on Zoom. You will need a wifi internet connection, a desktop or laptop computer (Mac or Windows) or a tablet. We do not recommend using a mobile phone. You will be expected to be on camera and be able to speak - so please check your video and audio settings work.

The links for each session will be in your welcome pack and will be emailed to you in good time.

Please note: To ensure the smooth running of the course FOR ALL, each session must begin at the scheduled START time. Late attendees CAN NOT be admitted once the session has started. In this circumstance our refund/transferable booking policy will be applied.


Can I speak to someone, I am unsure if the course is right for me?


If you have any questions as to the suitability of the course for you, please contact [email protected] in the first instance who may be able to answer any questions you have or pass you on to our Professional Development Director who will be able to chat with you further.


How do I apply to join APDO?

If you would like to join APDO to take advantage of the member discount please do that before booking onto the course by clicking here.


What do I need on the training days?

APDO will send you a welcome pack which includes a workbook for you to record your own notes.

We suggest you set yourself up in a quiet space with any drinks and snacks that you may need. There will be a couple of short breaks during the training.

Definitely bring with you your curiosity, motivation and positive energy.


Is the training recorded? Can I record the training?

APDO respects the privacy of others and does not share personal details. The training is not recorded - each training course varies slightly according to the needs of the attendees.

APDO does not permit the use of live recording during training events.

Please DO NOT record the live Zoom sessions.


What is the refund policy?

Booking is non-refundable, however your booking can be transferred to another course if you can no longer attend one you booked. Please let us know as soon as possible and we will, subject to availability and subject to paying us a £40.00 (inc VAT) administration fee, swap you onto another convenient course.

Requests to transfer bookings can only be considered up to 2 weeks before the event for which you book.


Is my booking transferrable?

If you cannot attend the training after booking your place, you can transfer your place to someone else who is eligible to attend. You must inform APDO at least 14 days before the event so that the necessary information can be sent to the replacement attendee. APDO will not be responsible for the transfer of costs of the course, you must arrange this yourself. There will be a £40 admin fee for transfer of the course.


Can my business partner join the course as well if I buy one ticket?

APDO understands and welcomes that some people may want to go into business together and come to the same training course. Each participant needs to purchase an individual ticket. If two or more of you wish to attend the same training course, please use different devices to log in. This ensures you can benefit from different groups during times of discussion. We would recommend that you attend different courses if possible to benefit from a different mix of trainers and attendees.


How do APDO use your personal information?

APDO uses the information you provide us to send you details about the training course. For example, how to join the live online sessions, and to post the welcome packs. We will also email you feedback surveys directly after the course to ensure that our training is meeting the needs of attendees.
