Where to Start

If your home feels heavier than it should — mentally or emotionally — you’re not alone.

People often contact me when they feel overwhelmed by how their space has become, embarrassed about letting someone in, or stuck in a cycle of meaning to sort things out but never quite getting there.

I offer calm, practical organising support that helps you feel steadier and clearer, without judgement or pressure. We slow things down enough to make good decisions — and then turn those decisions into spaces that genuinely support daily life.

“To be listened to was very reassuring. When things felt overwhelming, Susan’s steady guidance made it manageable.” ~ K, January 2026

How I help

I provide in-home professional organising support for people who want change, but don’t want to be rushed or told what they should do.

This can include:

Decluttering and organising rooms, storage and whole homes

Helping you make decisions when everything feels equally urgent

Creating simple, low-effort systems that fit how you actually live

Practical, hands-on support alongside emotional steadiness

There’s no expectation to be minimal, finished, or fast. The focus is on progress that feels relieving — and lasts.

Specialisms

ADHD

If traditional organising advice has never worked for you, there’s usually a reason.

I work with clients who have ADHD (or suspect they might) and who find conventional systems unrealistic or exhausting. My approach takes fluctuating attention, energy and motivation seriously.

Systems are designed to reduce friction rather than rely on willpower. Sessions are structured but flexible, with a focus on what genuinely helps you function more easily at home.

Clients often say this is the first time organising has felt realistic. My approach is practical, and flexible; rather than forcing a “perfect” system, I focus on creating spaces that work with how your brain functions — not against it.

Move Management

Moving home compresses time, emotion and decision-making into a very small space — which is why it can feel so overwhelming.

I support clients before, during and after a move, helping to sort belongings thoughtfully, reduce what needs to be moved, and set up the new space so it feels intentional rather than chaotic.

This is particularly helpful for downsizing, preparing a home for sale, or when a move comes with mixed feelings rather than excitement.

I was just wanting to explain what a great experience I had. Susan came to my house to help me declutter my bedroom. As I suffer from fibromyalgia and arthritis, it was impossible for me to get on top of my clothing rails because I had far too many clothes. Susan made it easy. I sat on my bed and we went through them one at a time — keep, charity, donate or sell. After sorting through my clothes, she cleaned the inside of my cupboards and put everything back as I wanted them. It’s great; it feels like a weight has been lifted — from going to sleep feeling almost smothered, to now having clear space. I can see everything I’ve got and can put my hands on what I want. I no longer dread bedtime and can relax happily. If you want help sorting anything, go to Susan — she’s wonderful. ~ S, January 2026
Just wanted to say thank you for the help organising my craft room, your help and ideas brought much needed order to my chaos and has saved me precious time spent looking for the lost. To say I was nervous about this process is an understatement, but you were mindful of my feelings and helped me to organise things in a way that made me feel at ease and comfortable and when it got too overwhelming for me your steady guidance was much appreciated, to be listened to was very reassuring, looking forward to the next organising day now. Efficient, easy way to make the improvements I needed with kindness and generosity. Thank you. ~ K, January 2026
I cannot thank Susan enough for all the help she gave me when I needed help with organising my craft room. While giving suggestions she listened to my wants and needs, resulting in a well thought out and organised room. My room has never looked so good and has certainly given me the boost needed to start quilting and crafting again. ~ I, January 2026
