I help people bring clarity, order and calm to the places they live and work. Alongside organisation and decluttering, I also specialise in Swedish Death Cleaning - a thoughtful, supportive approach to making intentional decisions about the things you keep.

With a background in project and client management, I create clear plans, steady structure and calm support, always without judgement or pressure. My role is to help you move forward at a pace that feels right for you... making space for what matters.
I was a little nervous about someone coming in to help sort out our cupboards etc. But I shouldn’t have worried. Lydia is very professional, supportive and well organised. If you want to work together (we did), you are supported to make the decisions. She gave me the encouragement to keep going but was happy to do it herself. There was a daunting amount to do in one day, and I was not sure how it could be achieved. Lydia managed to combine a calm sense of purpose and vision with extraordinary energy and determination. She remained utterly focussed throughout the day, and with her encouragement and good humour enabled easy decision-making. Well, Proper Place Projects was the service I did not know I needed – until now! Lydia has now been back to our home twice and hopefully will return again. Her professionalism is second to none and although I consider myself a tidy person, I am quite clearly a hoarder of all things useless to my life! Not anymore. The kitchen runs more smoothly as everything has a place and is more streamlined, who needed 5 drinks flasks anyway!! I would highly recommend Proper Place Projects to anyone who just may need a nudge in getting rid of things we thought we perhaps needed when life was different, for example, running a family kitchen but now there are only two of us.
