Healing Spaces with Kari
United Kingdom

 Hi. I'm Kari.

I'm a peer practitioner and professional organiser, based in West London. Before Healing Spaces, I worked four years as a Lived Experience Professional in the NHS, and two as a Peer Trainer at a Recovery College. I left the NHS because I wanted to do this work the way I always thought it should be done. Smaller, calmer, and entirely on the side of the person whose home it is.

I bring lived experience, trauma-informed training, and a calm pair of hands. Everything I do is 100% consensual support. Your home, your pace, your decisions.

What I do, and why it works.

On the outside, what I do is decluttering and cleaning for people who feel overwhelmed. That's the plain-English version, and it's accurate.

Underneath it, the reason it works, is that I bring lived experience to the room. I know the paralysis of a messy home when energy is at 0%, when you feel you can't do anything. I've managed to retrain my brain to turn cleaning into a dopamine-boosting superpower, and I'm here to show you how.

The practical bits: I'm DBS checked (enhanced), fully insured with £1m public liability and professional indemnity, ICO registered, and I work to APDO's code of ethics. I offer a free first visit so you can see if we fit, with no pressure and no need to tidy first. I'm based in West Ealing and I also speak Spanish, so hablamos español. 💛

Let's transform "I can't" into "I clean". One small win at a time.

Specialisms

Hoarding behaviour

I specialise in hoarding behaviour and overwhelmed homes, with four years of NHS lived-experience practice behind me. Gentle, consensual, and at your pace: nothing leaves your home without your yes. I trained through the Wellbeing & Recovery College ("To Keep or Not to Keep: Learning about Decluttering and why we hoard") and completed a 10-month DBT programme, so the emotional side of letting go is something I understand from the inside, not just the outside.

ADHD

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD myself, so executive dysfunction, doom piles, and the "I can't start" wall are not theory to me. I build ADHD-friendly systems that survive real life: body-doubling sessions, small dopamine-boosting wins, and zero judgement about how your home got here. We work with your brain, not against it.

Kari is the best! A while ago, I sent her a message asking for some cleaning advice and she more than delivered. She gave me lots of tips and helpful videos. As someone who struggles with social anxiety, I must say she's very supportive and compassionate. She's a real pro. I will consider hiring her if I ever need deep cleaning - https://maps.app.goo.gl/vMvdAnDTdJ5SpTB78
