Making space with Chloe Jane
United Kingdom

Hi, I’m Chloe, founder of Making Space with Chloe Jane, formerly Benfleet Home Reset.

I help individuals and families create calmer, more manageable homes through compassionate decluttering, organising and practical home reset sessions.

If your home has become overwhelming, I’ll work alongside you gently and without judgement. Together, we can sort through belongings, make difficult decisions feel more manageable and create simple systems that work for you and your household—not systems that only look good for a few days.

There are many reasons why a home can become difficult to manage, including busy family life, stress, health challenges, neurodivergence, moving home and other periods of change.

I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals and families, including people with ADHD and autism. My approach combines lived experience, professional training and a realistic understanding of everyday family life.

Alongside hands-on organising, I can provide practical coordination for house moves, home clearances and other significant home projects. This can include helping you decide what to keep, donate, sell or dispose of; creating a workable plan; arranging appointments and services; and liaising with estate agents, removal companies, skip providers and other professionals as needed.

Rather than leaving you to manage lots of separate tasks and people alone, I can help hold the overall process together and provide a calm, consistent point of support from beginning to end.

I’m based in Benfleet, Essex and offer in-person support across the surrounding areas. If you’re unsure where to begin, you’re very welcome to get in touch for an informal conversation.

Specialisms

Selling Unwanted Items (e.g. eBay)

As part of the decluttering process, I regularly support clients in identifying appropriate destinations for unwanted belongings, including donation, recycling, auction and resale options.

I help clients make practical decisions about possessions while reducing overwhelm and supporting a manageable decluttering process.

Experience includes:

 • advising on selling versus donating

 • helping clients sort items into clear categories

 • supporting decluttering and downsizing projects

 • identifying suitable resale or donation routes

 • practical support during home resets and moves

Qualifications and training

 • APDO Starting a Professional Organiser course

 • Practical experience supporting decluttering and home reset projects

 • Ongoing professional development in professional organising

Moving, Packing and Unpacking

support clients with both the practical and emotional demands of moving home, from early decluttering and decision-making through to packing preparation, labelling and coordinating the different services involved.

Every move is different. Some clients need hands-on help sorting and packing, while others need someone to see the bigger picture, create a workable plan and keep the many moving parts on track.

My experience includes supporting an international move to Cyprus, helping to sort and categorise belongings, decide what would be kept, sold, donated or disposed of, prepare for packing and coordinate the practical arrangements needed for the move.

I have also moved home more than 20 times myself, so I understand how demanding a move can be—both logistically and emotionally. My role is to make the process feel clearer, calmer and more manageable, providing practical support and continuity throughout.

ADHD

I understand how executive dysfunction, decision fatigue, visual overwhelm and emotional overwhelm can affect daily life and the ability to maintain systems within the home.

My organising approach is compassionate, realistic and tailored to the individual, focusing on reducing overwhelm and creating manageable systems that work in real life rather than striving for perfection.

I have supported clients with:

 • decluttering and resetting overwhelmed spaces

 • creating simple visual systems

 • reducing household friction

 • organising family spaces

 • breaking projects into smaller, manageable steps

My work focuses on reducing overwhelm through realistic routines, household organisation and visual systems tailored to the needs of each individual or family.

I particularly enjoy helping families with:

 • household routines

 • family organisation

 • visual reminders and systems

 • children’s spaces and toy organisation

 • reducing clutter-related stress

 • creating maintainable systems for busy homes

My background in childcare and family support has given me experience working alongside a variety of children, families and home routines, helping me approach organising work with empathy, patience and flexibility.

I would highly recommend Benfleet Home Reset with Chloe, it’s money well worth spending. Living with fibromyalgia and a disability really restricts how much I’m physically able to do day to day, so parts of my home had become overwhelming and difficult to manage ( my husband is great and puts his hands to anything that needs doing but he works full time). Having the extra hands through Chloe, to help made such a huge difference, but what really stood out was how understanding, calm, and supportive Chloe was throughout the whole process. She never made me feel judged or pressured, even on days where I was really struggling with my health and stress levels. She also came up with some brilliant organising ideas that have genuinely made parts of my home much easier to manage and keep on top of. My home now feels far more organised, calmer, and easier to live in, and the support I received honestly meant a lot. I’d highly recommend Benfleet Home Reset to anyone who feels overwhelmed and needs practical help from someone who truly understands. Thank you !
Can’t recommend enough! Chloe has helped declutter and organise the kids toys. It was hugely overwhelming before, I now feel like I can breathe again!
Thanks for getting me started on this journey, bit cringy but I think it's life changing for me
