Making your home feel calm
Hi. My name's Ruth and I have a passion for decluttering and organising. I have always been a collector, acquiring more things than I have space for. Since I grew tall enough to reach the shelf above my bed, I have sought to organise and reorganise my things to make them aesthetically pleasing, take up as little space as possible and reduce the time it takes to dust them! (I loathe housework, but am fastidious about cleanliness, so my mission is to reduce the effort and maximise the enjoyment). As a teacher, for nearly 20 years I had to organise my life to the nth degree. Teaching can be stressful and it became necessary for me to feel calm in my home. I took control of my environment, both to improve my mental health and to enable spontaneity in inviting my friends over. I want to do the same for you, helping you gain control over your stuff and love your home. Don't let the stuff control you! Give me a call and let me help you clear there and everywhere!
"Her friendly nature, enthusiasm and specialist knowledge made the experience remarkably pleasant, and her non-judgmental attitude put us at our ease and encouraged us..."
"She’s a force field of common sense, diplomacy, kindness and everything good. Two rooms devoted for years to the clear out from my late mother’s house were demolished and tidied in a day and a half, books (part of the 2-3 thousand in the house) were prised gently from my hands...Nothing was forced, everything diplomatically discussed...and in between times [she] changed my sheets and loaded my dishwasher out of the kindness of her heart. And what a heart - big and embracing."
"She...gave practical advice about how and why I should keep or toss some of my clothing. It was so helpful to have someone there to challenge my 'need' for certain things in my house."
