Fiona Jones

Berkshire Lifestyle Concierge
United Kingdom

Fiona is an empathetic and caring declutterer who specialises in working with the elderly. She is passionate about minimising the amount of possessions going to landfill and therefore carefully sorts and rehomes as much as possible. She is best friends with her local charity shops and tries hard to recycle, sell (on behalf of the client), repurpose and reuse anything her clients no longer need. Fiona has had much experience in working with people who exhibit hoarding behaviours. She particularly works with those who have spent a life time collecting possessions and are now ready to reduce, downsize and minimise the burden for the next generation. Fiona can help with all aspects of moving house, from decluttering prior to sale, property searches, arranging utilities and quotes for removals. She has attended both the introductory and advanced hoarding awareness training provided by Hoarding Disorders UK.

Specialisms

Digital/computer organisation

Experience in working with clients who struggle to organise their digital filing, particularly those with ADHD.

Move Management

I have supported mostly elderly clients in choosing care homes, decluttering and down sizing and managing the moving process from start to finish. This includes liaising with estate agents and solicitors as required.

ASD

I have worked with a few clients who have ASD, sometimes combined with other types of neurodiversity, such as ADHD.

Hoarding behaviour

I have attended both the introductory and advanced hoarding awareness training provided by Hoarding Disorders UK. I have also supported a number of clients with hoarding disorder both privately and for West Berkshire District Council and Reading Borough Council.

ADHD

I have attended Hoarding Disorder UK's training course Neurodiversity and Organisation. I have worked with a number of clients with ADHD who also exhibit hoarding behaviour. My son also has ADHD, so I understand how this neurodiversity can impact sufferers, but it can also be a super power!.
