NOW 2020 Press Release

The Time Is N.O.W – APDO Launches National Organising Week

The Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers (APDO) proudly presents National Organising Week (N.O.W.) with a week devoted to helping people organise their homes.

National Organising Week: Make your home work for you”

Expert tips and motivation from Professional Organisers

2-8 November 2020

This year, NOW will focus on how to be more organised in the home.

Now more than ever as people continue to live with Covid19, homes have become even more important.  Many are spending more time at home and using space differently: as a shelter, a work or study location, a reduced socialising space and more. Being organised is a key skill that can help everyone make the most of the current challenges.

During NOW 2020 there will 7 daily blog posts of ready-made content on APDO’s website crammed full of advice, tips, and information to help people organise their homes.

APDO members will also be taking to social media to inspire and motivate. Follow their activities via the hashtags #NOWorganise and #APDOHomeOrganising.

Storage innovators IDesign will be giving away their organisational products to APDO’s Instagram followers too.

APDO has been running its NOW campaign since 2014 to share the benefits of organisation, including (to name a few):

APDO President Katherine Blackler (SortMySpace) explains: “National Organising Week is an exciting time for us, as the industry experts, to share our accrued knowledge and natural skills with the public to help you overcome organisational obstacles in your home. We’re on a mission to make everyday life that little bit easier for individuals, families and organisations. Coronavirus has undoubtedly shifted our focus and feelings about our home environments and we’re keen to help anyone who’s been struggling on that front. Support is available via blog posts and social media tips, booking a virtual consultation with an organiser or indeed, teaming up for an onsite session. All our members are following regional advice to be able to work with clients in person as appropriate.  We love hearing how we’ve inspired you to change something for the better.”

APDO is raising the profile of the work it does across the UK to enable people to live happier lives through simplification and order; whether through decluttering, helping hoarders overcome habits, downsizing, organisation systems, life coaching and many more tools for people during this stressful time.

Katherine Blackler is available for radio and TV interviews throughout NOW2020. APDO has members across the UK and abroad if you are looking for a regional contact.

Please do get in touch if you can see an opportunity to collaborate for National Organising Week 2020.
